Become a Member of CSAfrica

Membership Categories
Members, Associates, Sponsors, Partners, Affiliates

Members
Members are comprised of U.S. or African non-profit organizations
Must be approved by Steering Committee, members have voting privileges

Membership Criteria
The criteria to join us as a member organization is the following:

  • You must be either a NGO or a non-profit organization
  • Your organization must be doing work on the ground in Africa or in direct partnership with grass-roots organization
  • Must support the principles of sustainable development outlined on our website
  • Must provide at least one member to assist on a working committee
  • Must provide organization representative to attend monthly meeting if org is local or call in via conference call if based in the U.S.
  • That you will support or employ our guiding principles (listed on our membership form)

Member Benefits
Some of the benefits of joining CSAfrica will be the following:

  • Exchange ideas through blogs and other listserves
  • Potential access to volunteers via web posting and events
  • Submit research, articles and editorials for our website and newsletters
  • Access to our database and collective online resource library
  • Increase visibility with your profile on our website and online directory
  • Maintain a voice within the coalition and at international conferences
  • Build new connections - internationally, continentally and locally
  • Strengthen the importance of our collective efforts
  • Enjoy access to post events on our online community calendar

If your organization or you are an interested individual and do not meet or desire the membership status outlined above, we have other ways to get involved and be a part of a consensus-based coalition.


Associates
Associates are defined by ongoing relationships w/ individuals, orgs or businesses that do not meet membership qualification

Sponsors
Sponsors are those who contribute primarily by means of financial support

Partners
Partners are project/program specific are hands-on and in some cases involve financial participation

Affiliates
An Affiliate is an organization of which CSA is a member
